Abstract

|
When 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) was implanted into salivary glands of rats, all of them developed salivary tumors. The genomic DNA of the salivary tumors was isolated and transfected into NIH3T3 cells. We obtained 20 clones of transformants and researched 14 clones of them. 5 clones of them were found to contain activated H-ras oncogene, indicating induction of salivary tumors by DMBA involves the activation of H-ras oncogene.
